For a couple with full lives, two children, and a shared instinct for quality in everything they do, this wedding was their moment to gather the people they love and show them exactly what a celebration can be.

The setting was Château du Bois d’Arlon, just across the Luxembourg border in Belgium. And it was exactly right.

The Ceremony: A Colorful Fire Moment Nobody Will Forget

The ceremony was officiated by Gabriel Boisante, a close friend of the couple. There is a particular warmth that comes from being married by someone who genuinely knows you, and it changes the entire atmosphere. The words carry different weight. The room feels different. It did here.

But the moment that stopped every single guest in their tracks was the colorful fire effect created by Artifices.lu.

I have planned many ceremonies. I have never seen a room react the way this one did. Bursts of rich, saturated color filling the air around the couple at the most significant moment of their day. It was joyful and surprising and completely unlike anything I had built into a ceremony before. It was also completely right for this couple. Bold. Beautiful. Impossible to forget.

The Design: Cohesive, Custom, and Visually Uncompromising

The brief for this wedding was as clear as any I have received. Everything needed to be visually perfect and cohesive from start to finish. Not just the big moments, but the transitions between them, the surfaces guests touched, the details they noticed without quite knowing why.

Restraint is what creates sophistication. But so does knowing when to commit fully to a vision. This wedding called for both.

The florals were created by Claudia Leinen, whose work brought a lushness and depth to the design that anchored the entire aesthetic. Every arrangement was chosen as part of a larger visual language, not as an individual piece.

Rentals and design elements were sourced through Options Luxembourg, and the stationery suite was designed by Bonjour Paper, whose work extended the couple’s visual identity across every printed piece with precision and elegance.

One of the design details I am most proud of from this wedding: the custom mirror top tables. I designed and organized them specifically for this celebration. They were unlike anything I had seen at a wedding in this region before, and they became one of the most talked about elements of the evening. Sometimes the most impactful detail is the one nobody can quite name but everyone remembers.

The wedding also featured a fully integrated custom logo and branding woven throughout every personalized element of the design. And as guests were leaving at the end of the night, that logo was projected onto the façade of the château itself. A final image. A signature on the evening. The kind of closing moment that stays with you on the drive home.

The Evening: From Elegant Dinner to Unforgettable Party

One of the things that made this wedding structurally interesting to plan was the deliberate transition built into the evening. The ceremony and dinner were intimate. Close family, close friends, a more considered pace. Then at 22:00, the party opened up. New guests arrived. The energy shifted. And what had been an elegant, emotional celebration became something else entirely.

Not just experience with weddings. Experience with this specific kind of evening architecture.

The bride changed into a second dress for the party, with new hair and makeup to match the new energy. It was one of those moments where a guest who had been with her all day suddenly saw someone walk into the room and felt the entire night change.

The cocktail experience was led by Your Bartender, whose personalized cocktail service matched the groom’s very specific expectations for the evening. The music was in the hands of Ben Leo of We Are XO, who read the room beautifully across both the dinner and party phases of the night.

The wedding cake came from Chocolate House, and a live painting experience was created by Adrien Schroeder.
